SUMMER IN STYLE
A few weeks ago I reached out to some of y’all on my Instagram, asking whether or not you would enjoy a new blog series called “Links I Love.” There isn’t really a time I don’t love shopping, but I’m particularly prone to stress-shopping! And with a lot going on behind-the-scenes as I prepare to move into the #RenovateDING house in the coming weeks, I figured it would be a great time to share my top 5 favorite goodies I’ve picked up this summer!
1. Millennial Pink Glassware
I think this cute dish is meant to function as drinkware, but in the past couple of months it has modeled as a business card holder, flower vase and a change catch-all. I love the versatility of this jar, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s also SO cheap. Thank you, Ikea!
2. Desktop Planner
This notepad from Appointed is a doodle pad, planner and to-do list all-in-one, yet still looks simple and sleek. I use mine to sketch out D.I.Ys for the blog, designs for clients and—most recently—doodle ideas for how to stage my current home for the market. I just got my second one in the mail the other day, and I can’t wait to put it in my new home office.
3. Sunless Tanner
A sun-kissed glow is at the top of my list when I think of summer, and this sunless foam tanner by Rodan and Fields gives you the perfect bronzed color without streaking, and gives your skin added moisture with vitamins C and E.
4. Tan Leather Sandals
I have been keeping an eye out for a simple pair of closed-toed tan leather sandals since the new year. I was happily surprised to stumble across these flats while shopping at GAP. *Note: I happened to check right before I posted this, and it looks like these shoes are on sale right now for $39! Does anyone else get little twinges of jealousy when something goes on sale right after you buy it full price?!
5. Gold Cocktail Straws
These gold plated cocktail straws from Cocktail Kingdom are the perfect addition to any home bar! As soon as I saw them, I had to have them!
6. Rattan Purse
Woven textures are trending right now, and I have fallen head-over-heels for my rattan shoulder bag from Bembien. Although it’s a little pricey, I felt really good about splurging on a piece made by and that gives back to artisanal weaving villages around the world!
7. Cold-Brew Coffee
With a packed schedule, these Starbucks Nariño 70 Cold-Brew Pitcher Packs have been a staple in my home lately. Just steep a pouch in cold water for 24 hours in the fridge, and then you won’t have to make an extra stop to get caffeinated on your way to work.
Love, Ding
